COMPETITIVE DRIVE PUSHES DELGADO FOR OAK LAWN BADMINTON

Even though junior Amaya Delgado didn’t play badminton for Oak Lawn Community High School until this year, she made the most of the opportunity. Having earned an undefeated regular season in the South Suburban Conference Red matches, Delgado certainly performed well, leading the team with the most singles’ wins.

“Amaya took on the challenge of joining varsity without prior experience,” head coach Elianna LaSpina said. “Amaya’s natural talent and her competitive drive have helped her find success on the courts. Amaya has made great strides since the beginning of the season and perseveres through tough matches.”
