TOBIAS LEADS OFFENSE FOR OAK LAWN’S GIRLS SOCCER TEAM

In her third year on the varsity girls soccer team at Oak Lawn Community High School, Kamila Tobias is becoming a leader. She’s bringing a strong effort to the offensive attack. Leading the team in assists with seven and being the second-leading scorer for the Spartans, Tobias is growing into a key player.

“Since last season, she has switched from defense and midfield to forward, honed her craft, and has shown tremendous growth each season,” head coach John Faro said. “Her desire to become a well-rounded soccer player is clear. She shows a real passion for the game and does a great job of leading by example.”

Tobias is quite the unique talent. Besides just collecting goals and assists though, she does much more for Oak Lawn.

“Kami plays soccer year-round. She is left-footed (which is rare), crafty and unselfish, which is evident in her team-leading assists, and she is fun to watch play the game,” Faro said. “Even as a full-time soccer player, she also runs for the girls track team when she can. She is passionate, and we are all looking forward to seeing what heights she can reach.”
